Maryland sets specific requirements for counselors working toward licensure, and we structure supervision to meet them directly. As a Maryland Board-Approved Clinical and Alcohol & Drug supervisor, we track your progress against each of these throughout your hours.
3000 hours of supervised clinical experience are required before you can apply for full licensure. This is the overall benchmark your other hours build toward.
1500 of your total hours must be direct supervision with a Board-approved supervisor like HRES. These are the hours we document and submit on your behalf.
Maryland requires a mix of formats - 50 individuals and 50 groups. We schedule your sessions to keep you within that required balance.
Most supervisees complete their required hours within 2 to 3 years. We will map a realistic pace for you based on your caseload and current standing.
